Welcome!
This year, we have assembled 458 Teen Kits and Bandana Pillows shipped to 22 children’s hospitals and children’s rehabilitation hospitals both locally and throughout the country! We also continue to support and restock all the arts & crafts projects and activities to 43 Alicia’s Art Carts. Most recently, Alicia’s Art Cart was provided to the CASTLE Pediatric Behavioral Health at Virtua, Camden, NJ.
We hope that you are inspired by a local teen who shares her experiences with Alicia's Art Cart and that you discover the profound difference your contributions make in our community. In these challenging times, please consider supporting our efforts so that we can continue to provide these much-needed programs for children with critical illnesses.
Wishing you and your family health and safety this summer,

Teen Kits to the Rescue
Hospitalized teens are never forgotten, especially in our own communities. During COVID-19, ARVF shipped 75 Teen Kits & Bandana Pillows to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA. The Teen Kit features a new look, with a grey drawstring bag, and our very own All About You Activity Journal. The Teen Kit & Bandana Pillow helps to make staying in a hospital more comfortable and fun.
And we can never forget the Child Life staff and health care workers who continue to work tirelessly throughout COVID-19. THANK YOU!

Express Yourself
Teens with serious illnesses or injuries may stay in the hospital for weeks or even longer. Although they may connect with friends via social media or spend time watching TV, relieving stress is very important for emotional recovery. Alicia’s Art Cart, one of the Victorious 4 Teens programs, delights teens with supplies such as oil pastels, water-color paints, tempera paint, markers, clay, and beading to create artwork, jewelry, and crafts. Virtual Hospital Pediatric Nurse Director Leslie Oleaga states “People assume that with age, teenagers have developed the appropriate tools for coping. However, adolescents and teenagers benefit most from opportunities for control and personal expression – which can often be beautifully displayed through art.”
Thank you for sharing the love!
Thank You to our 2020
Victorious Champion Sponsors
A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors for their continued support. Although the pandemic has changed the face of our event plans for 2020, our Champions have allowed us to fulfill innovative programs that support and enrich the social and emotional needs of hospitalized teens with the programs and activities they need.

Victorious Community Service & Volunteerism
Each winter, local elementary, middle, high school, and college students participate in Teen Cancer Awareness Week (TCAW) to raise awareness for teens receiving treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illness. Bandana Days, Purple Days, and Teen Cancer Awareness Week inspire youth community service and volunteerism.
For over 7 years, Monongahela Middle School in Deptford, NJ has participated in TCAW through Bandana Days, Purple Days, and other fundraisers. This past Valentine’s Day, students and staff showed us their purple hearts and raised $2,398.70. We are so grateful for their continued dedication and support!
