"During her 13 month battle with cancer, Alicia always found herself looking to art as a creative outlet and mental escape from all the hospital visits and treatments. During the time we had between hospitalizations or time at home, I found myself at our local A.C. Moore, to get her yet another craft kit or activity which she loved so much. She learned how to: collage, embroidery, and even make jewelry. All more ‘grown-up’ crafts that were not available in a children’s hospital." - Gisele DiNatale, Executive Director & Co-Founder
Alicia's passion became a reality when the Alicia's Art Cart pilot program launched in 2017, partnered with A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts. With retail stores located all along the east coast, A.C. Moore supports stocking supplies for Art Carts in Children's Hospitals within their area. The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation facilitates providing the Art Cart to Children's Hospitals and coordinating the personalized shopping spree for the hospital Child Life Staff at their local A.C. Moore store. In 2018, a partnership with Safelite AutoGlass brought the extension of program reach from coast-to-coast!
So far, 12 Alicia's Art Carts are rolling down hospital hallways, with many more in the works! Our goal is to get Alicia's Art Carts in as many Children's Hospitals throughout the country! If you want to help make it happen, continue below to make your donation!
