In 2013, ARVF spearheaded the initiative getting the U.S. Senate to unanimously pass a resolution designating the third week in January as Teen Cancer Awareness Week (TCAW) to promote awareness of the unique medical and social needs of teens with cancer.

Beginning on Martin Luther King Day of Service, volunteers locally, and throughout the country, show their support by having Bandana Days, Teen Kit Drives, School assemblies, Dine and Donate Nights, and many other fundraising/awareness type events.
