Makeup was EVERYWHERE. I was in HEAVEN. Everywhere I looked my jaw dropped. The Sephora was gigantic. And the woman who did my makeup made me feel so special.
My first beauty experience of the day had my heart racing with excitement as I dropped 2 thousand dollars on makeup I have always wanted but could never afford. 2 THOUSAND! When the clerk read back the number I nearly fainted. That was only stop number 1!
Next up was M.A.C. The woman, Paris, who did my makeup was a true artist at her work. She was no joke. She was determined to give me the perfect look and to give me a dramatic gold prom look. And boy did she deliver. I was in love with it. I spent $500 there and that left me with $250 for a makeup vanity. I was so astonished by the different techniques and everything I was learning.
The woman at Sephora showed me step by step what she was doing and how she was doing it. I felt like the center of attention for a day. Like it was my day. All eyes on me. And I was able to have my grandmother who has been there for me through thick and thin and my best friend who has been my rock, by my side. It was the best day I've had in a long time. I am so thankful to Make-A-Wish and the people from their foundation that went with me.
