The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation awards funding for celebrating adolescent accomplishments at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.
"Having grant funding from the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation has greatly enhanced our support of our patients. We continually see how for younger pediatric patients, there are many resources available in the hospital to cater to their interests. How awesome that we now have a tool in our toolkit to make our teenage and young adult patients feel unique, valued, and personally supported in a new way," said Emily, Program Director at UF Health.
Pictured is a patient "for whom we celebrated his 19th birthday party. Several volunteers came to the hospital outside of their required shift to make the day extra special with games and decorations. Support from the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation made this in-hospital celebration a success. You’ll even see a bandana pillow to the right of the patient."
